Mercedes-Benz is proud to reveal a groundbreaking partnership with FYI, a pioneering AI-powered platform founded by innovative artist, producer, and tech entrepreneur will.i.am. FYI RAiDiO, which launched in 2025, is an AI-infused, interactive, conversational media platform that is transforming radio as we know it—connecting listeners more deeply with the music, talk radio, and social content they love.
The integration of FYI RAiDiO as an interactive AI radio experience represents the next step in using AI in vehicles for ultimate hyper-personalization in music and news. Designed to seamlessly integrate third-party radio and broadcast stations, FYI RAiDiO leverages advanced language models, public web content, music licenses, and personalized voice characters known as “Personas” to create an engaging and customized radio experience.
There are currently 16 interactive STAiTiONS on the FYI RAiDiO platform, featuring themed topics such as Pop Culture, Sports, Tech, and Music—with more stations set to roll out in 2025.

Tailored Voice Personas Enhance the Interactive Experience
A standout feature of the FYI RAiDiO platform is its use of engaging AI voice personalities that act as radio hosts. Listeners can ask the AI host for information about any topic, including what’s currently playing, and receive real-time responses. The platform will feature a variety of unique AI characters, including localized versions for each continent. These hosts will provide context-based moderation, enhancing the interactivity and engagement for listeners.
Continuous Entertainment for Mercedes-Benz Customers with the New CLA
With the Mercedes-Benz Virtual Assistant, Mercedes-Benz combines new conversational capabilities using Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent for detailed navigation and natural dialogue. This includes general knowledge, contextual explanations, and AI-driven intelligence features powered by the latest ChatGPT technology—delivering responses through Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Bing web search.
FYI RAiDiO continues this commitment to innovation and excitement. The rollout of this collaboration will begin with a Beta Program in the U.S., available to customers with eligible vehicles (2024 or newer E-Class and CLE, and 2025 C-Class and GLC) as well as those with the new CLA.

To use the digital extras, you must create a Mercedes me ID and agree to the Terms of Use for Digital Extras and the Mercedes me ID Service Terms in their applicable versions. Additionally, the respective vehicle must be linked to the customer account. After the minimum term expires, the digital extras can be extended for a fee, provided they remain available for the respective vehicle.
